MIRABILIA Designs - paper embroidery patterns from Nora Mirabilia. Nora works from her studio home in Granville, Ohio, creating beautiful watercolor paintings and intricate, elegant cross stitching. Moving from sketching to painting and cross-stitching, Nora draws on her already amazing collection of designs. These paintings are complex and creative, with a predominance of scenes with angels, queens, fairies, mothers and other embodiments of the grace of a woman. Mirabilia Nora's plots are timeless women in escapist romantic sets, allowing the person who buys and embodies her cross stitch embroidery to experience the same level of engagement that the great novelist creates for the reader. The birth of sons also inspired a line called Little Stitches, depicting various aspects of a child's most cherished years. To support her almost endless thirst for inspiration, Nora creates watercolors in the form of sketches in gesture form. These watercolors take only the emotional aspects of her subjects (usually flowers, architectural elements and garden structures) and depict the inner beauty of everyday objects. Her work is based on artistic traditions, but unique in its modern sound.
